The inaugural BSC Ontario championship season features three premier Briggs & Stratton LO206 race weekends at some of Ontario’s top karting facilities.

Weekend Format

Two Full
Race Days.

BSC Ontario events are built around a full race weekend format, with practice opportunities available before the event and complete championship race days on both Saturday and Sunday.

Host Track Practice

Practice may be available at the host track during the week leading up to the event. Availability, booking and payment are handled directly through the track. Racers should contact the host facility and watch BSC Ontario social channels for updates.

Official Friday Practice

Official practice will take place the Friday before each event and will be organized through BSC Ontario. Details, registration and schedules will be announced ahead of each race weekend.

Saturday Race Day

Saturday will feature a full race day format including practice, qualifying, pre-final and final. Championship points will be awarded for both the pre-final and final.

Sunday Race Day

Sunday will feature a second full race day with practice, qualifying, pre-final and final. Championship points will again be awarded for both the pre-final and final.

Helpful information for racers, teams and families preparing for a BSC Ontario race weekend.

What classes will BSC Ontario offer?

BSC Ontario will be open to Briggs classes including Cadet, Junior Light, Junior, Senior and Masters.

Do I need an ASN Canada karting license?

No, ASN licenses will not be required for BSC Competition.

How do I register for events?

Registration will be available on the BSC Ontario website prior to each event. Registration announcements will also be shared through BSC Ontario social media channels. We will open registration as early as possible.

Can I practice before the event?

Yes. Practice may be available during the week before the event, hosted directly by the track. Availability will depend on the facility, so racers should contact the host track directly. BSC Ontario will also post practice information as early as possible.

Is Friday practice included with event registration?

No. Friday practice is not included with event registration. Official Friday practice will be run by BSC Ontario and will be available at all events.

What race format does BSC Ontario use?

BSC Ontario events feature two separate race days. Both Saturday and Sunday will include practice, qualifying, pre-final and final sessions, giving racers two full days of competitive racing.

How is the starting grid determined?

For each race day, qualifying sets the starting grid for the pre-final. The finishing order from the pre-final then sets the starting grid for the final. Championship points are awarded for both the pre-final and final.

What tires and technical rules will be used?

BSC Ontario will use blue Vega tires. For full technical rules, please consult the BSC Ontario supplemental rules guide. The series will also follow ASN Canada karting regulations, which will be posted in the Rules & Regulations section.

Are mechanics and teams allowed?

Yes. Mechanics and teams are allowed and encouraged. Mechanic credentials will be required for pit access.

Where can I find event schedules and supplemental regulations?

Event schedules will be posted on the BSC Ontario website and social media channels as soon as they are available. Supplemental regulations will be posted in the Rules & Regulations section of the website.
